Laptops have at least slowed the attempt to make tablets the best tool for work. There are dozens of models to choose from and a wide variety of specifications, making it difficult to choose. That will depend largely on the use you want to give it and the price you want to pay for it. Luckily, we have tested and classified the best ones on the market so that you know which one best suits your needs.
You will find first the list of best laptops, which we update often. Later on, you can also consult our practical guide with the points to consider before making your purchase.
Huawei MateBook 14s
The MateBook 14s, an upgraded version of the also excellent MateBook 14, is one of the most fully featured laptops on the market, especially now that the webcam is back at the top of the screen and not on the keyboard.
True, it’s only 720p, but it does support Windows Hello. The MateBook 14s is impressive in almost every department, being able to buy it with up to an i7 processor (H series) and 16GB of RAM.
It also has a 2.5K display that offers a 90 Hz refresh rate. It also has many ports, although it is a pity that Thunderbolt 4 is only available on the most premium models and there are other brands that do offer it.
LG gram 17
We thought LG couldn’t improve on the LG gram 17, but in 2021 it has and it’s got it right on everything.
It’s an incredibly lightweight engineering marvel and now has an even better-looking design. LG seems to have listened to us and improved the speakers and trackpad as well. This laptop also has incredible battery life, has built in Thunderbolt 4 and has an excellent display. It’s not touchscreen, but some people prefer it.
It is undoubtedly the reference 17″ laptop, although LG also has the gram 16 if you want something similar but smaller and cheaper.
Dell XPS
Those who are looking for a powerful 15″ Windows laptop should take this XPS 15 into account. You won’t find anything better on the market: well-built, compact and spectacular performance.
Obviously, it’s expensive, but not as much as you might think for what you’ll get in return. That said, we don’t recommend you spend that much if you’re buying the entry-level model. Spend a little more and avoid the integrated graphics card.
